I am currently doing my Master degree on microbial diversity in Canadian High Arctic aquatic ecosystems. My first field work took place in May-June 2006 on Ellesmere Island within the framework of ArcticNet program. My main objective is to investigate the archaeal biodiversity in relation with oxycline in two meromictic lakes (lake A and lake C1) using molecular biology approches (molecular cloning, DGGE, Q PCR). I also study the microbial biogeography with similar ecosystems in other Arctic and Antarctic regions.
Before I began my Master degree in May 2006, I had done my undergraduate studies in Université Laval in microbiology – International studies (Université de Rennes 1, Rennes [France]).
