Dr. Mickaël Lemay is the Lead Coordinator of the Integrated Regional Impact Studies (IRIS) conducted by the scientific network ArcticNet, and he also acts as the coordinator of the NSERC Discovery Frontiers program called ADAPT. In recent years, he has worked c losely with Michel Allard at Centre d'Études nordiques (CEN, U. Laval) in co-editing the regional impact assessment of the Nunavik-Nunatsiavut region published in 2012. The assessment was developed using an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach, which integrates analysis and expertise ranging from natural, social and health sciences. Dr. Lemay's academic background is in physical geography and biology. He completed his Bachelor's in Geography-Biology at Université du Québec à Rimouski and pursued a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. at the CEN (U. Laval), where he developed an expertise in biogeography, specifically on the interactions between riparian biodiversity and the geomorphological dynamics of northern lakeshores.
